When it’s sunny and hot outside, a house can become a victim of boredom for your kids. With just a little creativity, imagination and fun, you can turn boredom into entertainment.
Any kid’s activity can be played inside the house. There are myriad of indoor activities that can be enjoyed with fun, entertainment and enthusiasm.
Here are some of the most interesting and fun summer indoor activities for kids.
Read Books
If you provide kids with good books, they will enjoy reading them. Ensure that the books you provide them contain entertaining stories, fairy tales, fun characters and jokes. You can also provide them with their school books. Reading will improve their language skills and enhance their communication skills.
Hide & Seek
Playing hide and seek with your kid is also fun and entertaining. Kids enjoy playing this game with their parents and other family members. As it is, there are various places to hide in a house, so it is more entertaining for kids.
Coloring Activities
Provide your kids with colors and paper. Let them explore their creativity to make beautiful paintings and drawings. If they are given a chance to do so, they can really make great drawings. There are several interesting websites for kids which offer coloring pages.
Bubble Game
For this game, you need a small plate, plastic straw, tap water and dish washing liquid. Place the liquid in the plate and run tap water. This will create some bubbles. Ask your kid to blow the straw keeping it in the center of the plate. This will create bubbles and your lid will enjoy playing with it.
Jumble Game
Choose any object or thing like animal, chair or table. Ask a group of 2 or 3 kids to draw a part each. Let them all draw one part each and then tape all the jumbled parts together to make a complete object. Most of the times it is more interesting to jumble the parts of an animal.
Feel the Object
Take a big box with a lid and make a big hole in the side of the box. Ask your kids to close their eyes and then place any object in the box. Let your kids put their hand from the hole and feel the object. Ask them to guess the object. Give them clues to guess the object right.
