Garden activities can be fun when the weather is calm and beautiful. Kids during their summer vacation can add some personality to their garden using crafts and gardening.

Here are some of the summer garden activities for kids.

Handcrafted Greetings
If you provide kids with some flowers and leaves, they will enjoy making handmade cards and gifts using pressed flowers and leaves. Ask them to pick up the most beautiful flowers from the garden and make beautiful greetings.

Creating Mosaic Stone
This can be even more entertaining for kids if they enjoy painting. Provide them with stained glass and glass gems. Kids will use these supplies to create beautiful mosaic stone that can be used as a gift for someone dear or used as a décor in the interior.

Bamboo Wind Chime
From the garden ask kids to pick up bamboo sticks or you provide them the sticks. Also provide them thread to tie bamboo sticks and make beautiful wind chimes. These wind chimes can be decorated with paint, beads, mirrors and other adornments.

Basket Making
Provide your kids with different stems and sticks picked from the garden. Ask them to join the sticks using an adhesive in desired shape. They can beautifully make flower basket, fruit basket and baskets for other utilities. These baskets can further be decorate with various embellishments.

Hunt and Learn
If your kid is in the learning stage, then a garden can be a source of learning. Kids can learn various things like colors, names of flowers and benefits of plants. Name any color and ask kids to pick any flower of that color. Once your kids get the right flower, make them learn the name and use of that flower. This way kids will enjoy learning and will grasp things faster.
